Bug: Definition and What it is
A general term for insects, though technically refers specifically to members of the order Hemiptera (true bugs).
What is a Bug?
In common usage, "bug" is a general term for any small insect or arthropod. However, technically, "true bugs" refer specifically to insects in the order Hemiptera, which includes stink bugs, bed bugs, and aphids.
